Let me introduce a very special friend to you. Bauli is a Palas cat, born somewhere in Asia he was brought to us to chase mice. Unfortunately he can't do harm to any creature and feels awfully sorry for eating a little furry fellow. So he lost his job. Almost starving he became desperate. But he heard about this training course "How To Become Fat By Eating Feedgrain". A new hope. He registered immediately, but he had to wait til springtime when the course will start. Somehow all the other attendees were sleeping the whole winter long ... :confused: Anyway, when it finally started, everything seemed to be quite alright, and his little fellas almost accepted him, when on the second day his stomach made this awful noise because of hunger, and everybody was running away completely in panic. So he was all alone again.

He became so depressed, he already thought of jumping into a Dobermans cage and pee into their feeding bowl, when he read about another course: "How To Become The Milkman's Best Friend". So if you see this little fur ball in front of your door in the morning, please don't chase him away - he might be your milkman's best friend.

Sorry for this silly story :XD:, but when I first saw *guitarjohnny's Precious I was automatically thinking of a cat that felt sorry for eating his prey. :aww:
Second thought was to draw it, so I made this little sketch in order to train fur drawing. :D

I used to call my cat "Bauli" and he was the lovliest cat ever existed! :aww:

What a great story and picture together. It is very original and it has a mythical way to it. But also modern flavor too. Thanks so much for making this.

Danke schön. :) Ich wollte das Bild nur wegen des Fells malen, habe mich dann aber von einem der User hier überreden lassen, auch einen Hintergrund zu malen, und es hier reinzustellen.

Meine ja auch nicht, aber die muß ich ja nicht unbedingt hier zeigen. :D
Ich denke, wichtig ist, daß man auch durch Fehlversuche dazulernt, um es beim nächsten mal besser zu machen. Und dann ist es wie Fahrradfahren. ;) Vor diesem Bild hatte ich bereits Erfahrung mit Fell und Haare im Allgemeinen, also ich wußte damals schon, wie ich vorgehen mußte. Dies war nicht das erste Fell, das ich malte.
Aber ich male ja streng nach Vorlage, während Du rein aus Vorstellungskraft arbeitest (nehme ich mal an) und das ist dann schon viel schwieriger. Deswegen würde ich auch raten, zuerst einige Versuche nach Vorlagen zu machen, damit man besser erkennen kann, worauf es bei Fell und Haaren ankommt (sind im Grunde nur sehr viele, geordnete Linien, die einer bestimmten Laufrichtung folgen, und die durch Lichteinfall unterschiedlich reflektieren). Wenn man dann die Technik einigermaßen beherrscht, kann man sich auf die Imagination konzentrieren.
