There are days when you think you could draw just anything. And the other day you think you will have to start to learn drawing from the very beginning. :hmm:
This picture was drawn on two of these days when nothing goes. :worry: Some parts I like but I'm rather disappointed how the whole thing turned out. It was completely different in my imagination when I decided to draw it. It doesn't look like a Native American to me :confused: . It looks more like Aragorn has turned into a reverend in his older days. :XD:

Anyway, I decided to put it amongst the others, and it should be part of the series too. :)

The reference photo was shot by Ed Curtis in 1910 ( [link] ) and this is his comment to it:

"The Nespilim were a small Salishan band living north of the Columbia in the valley of Nespilim river. Few representatives of the tribe survive."

This is just so beautiful. I love how the focus is on the side of his body turned closest to the viewer and everything beyond it is realistically more out of focus. Your attention to detail is incredible. The hair and the texture of the face couldn't look any more real. Wonderful job!

No, don't say that He does not look like a native, He kinda reminds me in ways of my father, and that is kool. No way did you do any worse a job on this. Its just like the rest perfect in its holders eyes.

Ah, but I see him and he is perfect! Right down to the smallpox scars. Or would that be acne? Like to think it as smallpox and so in my mind, that is what it shall be.
